    UPDATE: This June 1 event is "hybrid" giving you a choice to attend in-person or virtually.     With the unprecedented global socio-economic impact of the pandemic, workers around the world are rethinking not only where they work, but why they work. A LinkedIn poll of 15,585 members found that 66% had either left their job or considered leaving to pursue a passion project in 2021. LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky has summarized this “talent migration” as The Great Reshuffle, signaling that the need for leaders to reevaluate company culture and workplace practices, and to take control of their employee value proposition, has never been greater.

    Do you know why your employees are leaving and what they are looking for now?

    Craig Ramsay will share Glint’s comprehensive research based on 350 million employee responses over the past 24 months on the modern factors that drive employee attraction, engagement, and retention. Results show employees today want something fundamentally different from their jobs and workplaces. These findings have identified several new expectations that are lower on the “human hierarchy of needs” yet critically important to why employees choose to move or stay and what inspires them to do their best work.

    Have you asked yourself…What is most important to the humans in my organization today?

    What matters to employees now is feeling cared for, valued, and supported; having flexibility to choose when and where to work (hybrid/remote/on-site); being honored for their differences; and being treated with equity in all aspects of work life. These emerging expectations all have one thing in common: They call out for a more human-centric perspective by employers – an approach Glint calls “People Success” captured in a six-box  “People Success Elements” model.

    To summarize: The People Success approach views employees as humans, not only workers. It provides for people’s needs and expectations that are critical to their life experience, not just their work experience.

    A panel of senior HR leaders will join Craig to discuss how organizations have shifted focus to adapt to these changing employee needs, as well as how companies might yet continue to evolve.

      Craig Ramsay

      Glint Principal People Scientist


      Craig Ramsay is a Glint Principal People Scientist at Microsoft where he studies the factors that help people be happier and more successful at work. As lead researcher he oversees the design of Glint’s employee experience measurement architecture and foundational assets. He supports MSFT Viva with a mission to bring feedback and action-taking directly into the flow of work, making it easy for managers and teams to build habits that support people’s happiness, success, and overall well-being.

      Prior to Glint, he led the San Francisco Bay offices of Sirota (now Mercer). As People Analytics Director at both Intuit and Symantec, he established global centers of excellence helping leaders make better talent decisions with predictive and actionable insights. He serves on the BOD of HR Strategy Forum, a consortium for California-based HR leaders and was past Chair of the Information Technology Survey Group (ITSG), a global survey research consortium. Craig has a Masters in HROD from University of San Francisco, and a B.S. Industrial Engineering from SJSU.

      Tory Martinez

      Vice President, DEI & Talent Development 

      BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.

      Tory Martinez is a seasoned Senior HR Executive with 20+ years of experience crafting high quality organizational development and talent programs. As the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Talent Development for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Tory oversees the design and implementation of enterprise-wide learning and development programs, performance management strategy and tactics, as well as BioMarin’s approach to DEI. In her 18 years at BioMarin, Tory has advanced through numerous roles in Human Resources where she supported various lines of the organization and has played a key role in BioMarin’s growth from 250 to over 3,000 global employees.

      Tory holds a Master of Science in Organizational Developmentfrom the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Spanish from Indiana University. She lives with her family in Marin County.

      Katie Watson

      Chief Human Resources Officer


      Katie Watson is a global Human Resources leader with 25 years of experience across life sciences, technology, and investment banking. In August 2021, she became CHRO of Solidigm Technologies, a $9B spin-off from Intel. She previously spent 17 years at Gilead Sciences, where she led the Human Resources function and partnered closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other top-level executives on strategies to enable organizational growth, establish an engaged workforce, and create a mission-based culture that aligns with the company’s core values. 

      Katie is a Graduate of Stanford’s Board of Directors’ Governance Program, a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and a Certified Executive Coach. She is a sought-after advisor to executives and C-suite teams on HR matters, and was named one of SF Business Times’ “Most Influential Women in Business 2017.” She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC San Diego, and her master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She lives with her family in Santa Clara County. 

      Amy Lavoie

      VP of People Success 


      Amy is the Vice President of People Success at Torch, the integrated platform for learning and development leaders to deliver, manage, and measure employee growth at scale. Amyhas spent her career studying, practicing, building, and evangelizing the science of happiness at work. She is  on a mission to help organizations, leaders, and teams create cultures where people can bring their best selves to work and do their best work. Prior to Torch, she was Head of Strategic Development, People Science at Glint LinkedIn where her team studied and infused the science of modern work into Glint’s services, products, solutions, and thought leadership to help make people happier and more successful at work. 

      Amy holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Leadership Studies, Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
