Welcome to the 25th anniversary year of HR Strategy Forum!  For a quarter century, HRSF has provided a unique forum for strategic HR leaders in Northern California to learn about the latest research, trends and challenges in the industry, and to help them engage in thought-provoking discussions with their professional peers.

Our programs in 2019 will focus on: Courageous HR: What it is, Why it Matters Now. Our five events this year will focus on building a supportive community of courageous, agile and influential HR leaders who can deepen credibility by speaking truth to power, build trust through authenticity, and cultivate courage to hold the tension between individual and business priorities in ways that enable both to thrive.

Almost 15 years ago, I was invited by HRSF to present Intuit’s best practices in employee engagement. I found HRSF to be a progressive forum where I could engage with other HR leaders on the current challenges of organizations, the workforce and the HR profession so I joined as a member.  Over these years, I have been most impressed at the quality of programs and the strategic level of conversation. I joined the board in 2010 and have been actively involved in shaping the direction of HRSF since then.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work and connect with such talented and dedicated people, and am excited to announce several great additions to the HRSF board in 2019:  Shreya Sarkar-Barney, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Human Capital Growth serving as a Director at Large; Rose Baldwin, Vice-President and Leader Career Management Services at Torchiana, serving as Marketing Committee Chair; Jenny May, HR Leader at Genomic Health serving as Treasurer; Scott Brooks, Partner and Vice President at Org Vitality, serving as a Director at Large; and Lori Heffelfinger, Managing Principal, The Heffelfinger Company, serving as Community Chair.

I encourage you to join the conversation this year, and help shape the future of HR.

All the best,

Craig Ramsay
