Game-Changing Diversity Strategy
Sure your organization
understands diversity fundamentals – who doesn’t these days? But what is the
secret sauce for achieving superior diversity and bottom line success?
Our keynote speakers, Drs. Lim and Marquis, were the principal authors of a RAND
Corporation diversity strategy study published earlier this year. They used a
fact-based approach to model diversity management in a sample of large companies
to discover which factors had the largest impact on results. Surprisingly, best
practices alone did not account for differences in performance.
This research found that many diversity programs simply lead to “surface
diversity”. Leading edge programs however, achieve the true benefits of
diversity – enhanced productivity, profitability, and overall job satisfaction.
This study also examined similarities and differences between firms that are
ahead in diversity management and those recognized for superior overall human
resource practices.
In companion discussions, Patrick Vitale with AAA Northern California (San
Francisco) and a panel of senior HR executives from Aramark, PPG Aerospace and
B. Braun Medical (Irvine), will share their perspectives and engage the audience
in a consideration of strategic options and outcomes.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain a fresh perspective on a fundamentally
important issue.
In San Diego, this meeting will be a live remote version of the meeting in
Irvine. Participants will be linked via video and teleconference. HRSF Board
Director Sue Stevenson will emcee.

Patrick Vitale, AAA
In an interactive presentation, Patrick
Vitale will discuss how AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah
approaches diversity from a Marketplace, Workforce and Workplace
strategy lens and their results in each of these arenas. AAA
started on a journey several years ago to transform their workplace
culture into an inclusive workplace that leveraged and valued
differences in all dimensions of diversity. With solid measures in place
to improve engagement and business goals, they have expanded that focus
from workplace to marketplace where diversity and inclusion is a
business imperative. |
