A Note From Our President:
 Welcome
to the HR Strategy Forum, the California Affiliate of HRPS (Human Resource
Planning Society). We are the premier network for strategic human resource
thought leaders in California. Our goal is to provide opportunities for
discussions on leading edge topics for people interested in the strategy of
human resources.
We have recently elected new
members of our Board of Directors and our new Program and Membership
Committee Chairs have put together strong teams to help our continued
growth. We are excited about having a strong 2008.
We sponsor several events
each year in various locations throughout California, including two full-day
workshops. In March, our one-day conference will be held in Northern
California and it will focus on Designing the Nimble Organization. In
October, we will be having an all-day conference in Southern California on
Business Strategy for HR Professionals featuring June Delano from Monitor
Executive Development, and Mabel Ruiz from Clorox. Our quarterly meetings in
both regions will be focused on topics such as: Doing Business Globally:
Managing Cultural Differences, New Directions in Talent Management, Building
the Strategic HR Function, and Managing the Diverse Workforce. We will also
be offering several Teleconferences throughout the year.
Our programs are very
informative and thought provoking and I hope you will take the opportunity
to participate. Information about upcoming events can be found on our

We will continue to offer
several regional events with an emphasis on creating a forum for discussions
amongst peers and experts. Look for additional information as the year
progresses.
