Special Networking Event: Follow-up on The HRPS Global Conference This year the HRPS Global Conference will be in Huntington Beach, CA, on April 13-16. Because the conference is close to home for HRSF members, and because HRSF membership provides a substantial discount on conference registration fees, we expect that HRSF membership will be well represented at the conference. However, it is hard for many people to attend the entire event, and the heavy use of concurrent sessions means that attendees will have to miss most of the sessions on the program. We will hold a Special Networking Event on April 21 to follow up on the Global Conference. It will provide attendees with the opportunity to share brief summaries of the key points in the sessions they attended, to gain insights on key points from the sessions, and in general, to fill in gaps on what they missed. The session will help those who attended get more out of the conference, and it will provide a wonderful opportunity for those who could not attend the conference to hear about the key messages and takeaways from the sessions. It should be a very helpful way to learn about the conference speakers and what they might share at your own company’s events. The meeting will be informal with light afternoon refreshments. Edie Goldberg, HRSF President, will moderate in San Francisco and Gerry Ledford, HRSF Program Chair, will moderate in Irvine. We will walk through the program, discussing sessions that people attended and their comments and observations. The only preparation for the meeting will be at the Global Conference itself. We ask everyone who plans to come to the Special Event to write down two or three key insights from the session as well as notes about the the speakers and their material. This will provide a basis for sharing at the Special Event. Moderators
