HRSF 2011 LEADERSHIP

The California Connection for Professionals in People Strategy

Our leaders are nominated and elected by the full Board (Officers and Directors at Large). If you are interested in gaining board experience, contributing to the strategic HR community, volunteering in any capacity and having fun, please let us know. Most leaders start by joining one of our committees, then progressing to Director at Large and then, sometimes being elected an officer. If you would like to discuss volunteer opportunities, please contact the Chair of the committee in which you are interested or any member of the leadership team, whose contact information is shown on the Home page.

Officers

The Board of Directors are responsible for not only overseeing the effective operations of our organization, but they are also responsible for setting the strategic direction and developing policies and protocols for the organization. Several members of the Board of Directors lead key committees for the organization (Programs and Membership), while others are involved in various committees and provide regular input to the direction of the organization.

HRSF Advisory Board

A select group of senior HR executives serve in this focused and essential role. All Advisory Board members support HRSF by providing an outside perspective on both how to develop a stronger and sustainable organization as well as being a key source of insight for topics the organization should be addressing to meet the current and future strategic needs of organization. Corporate Sponsor companies are encouraged but not required to have a representative on the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board provides leadership in several key areas:

Setting the direction for HRSF programs and services.

Promoting involvement in HRSF with other senior California HR leaders.

Serving as meeting hosts or emcees as needed.

Our Advisory Board members fulfill their leadership responsibilities via one-hour conference calls held twice a year. They do not need to participate in every HRSF event but are expected to be present at most meetings.
