John W. Boudreau, Ph.D.
Professor, Management & Organization, Marshall School of Business
Research Director, Center for Effective Organizations, University of Southern California

Recognized worldwide for his breakthrough research on the bridge between human capital, talent, and sustainable competitive advantage, John W. Boudreau, Ph.D. is much sought after by organizations, businesses, and the academic world for his insight and innovation in the fields of Human Resources, Human Capital Management, and Executive Development. Dr. Boudreau is Research Director for USC’s Center for Effective Organizations and Professor of Management and Organization at Marshall School of Business. His large-scale studies and focused field research address the future of the global Human Resources profession, HR measurement and analytics, decision-based HR, executive mobility, HR information systems, and organizational staffing and development. A strong proponent of corporate/academic partnerships, Dr. Boudreau helped to establish and then directed the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies (CAHRS) at Cornell University, where he was a professor for more than 20 years. The author of more than 50 books and numerous articles and papers, features on his work have appeared in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Fast Company, and Business Week, among others.

 


Kalani Ching
Leader and Manager, Freelance Nation, Intel Corporation

As the Leader and Manager of the Freelance Nation at Intel Corporation, Kalani Ching is driving an innovative “future of work” experiment focused on creating an internal gig economy and talent marketplace within the walls of the corporation.  Having found his way into Intel’s Human Resources division by accident, Kalani has spent the last 15 years managing various Talent functions and programs to acquire, develop and retain Intel’s most valuable asset.  His broad career has spanned a variety of technical, corporate and leadership roles in the manufacturing and technology sectors and he prides himself in leveraging engineering, supply chain and business solutions to optimize Talent Management at Intel.  Kalani holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and an M.B.A., both from Carnegie Mellon University.  He resides in Chandler, Arizona with his wife and five sons.

 


Maria Forbes

Formerly an MD for Root in Europe, Maria is now based on the West Coast of USA, growing depth and reach of our client base, and ensuring we are delivering great work to our valued client organizations. Neil Frye
Head of Recruitment, Operations & Technology, Dropbox

Neil is the Global Head of Recruitment, Operations & Technology at Dropbox; helping to lead teams developing and executing amazing People processes for a growing high tech firm that is expanding globally. Neil leads the teams delivering Recruitment, Onboarding, HR data admin, Global Mobility, Benefits, People Analytics across 11 countries. 

Previously, Neil spent 2+ years at Google, leading teams of business analysts, program managers and supporting engineers that develop world class Compensation, Payroll, Benefits and Sales Incentive technology at Google. In addition, Neil was responsible for People Data Security programs including Access, Authentication, Audit and Transmission.

Prior to Google, Neil spent 10+ years with Accenture's HR & Talent Management practice. During this time he has helped design and implement HR shared services and technology.
 

Mark Levy
Airbnb


Mark is a seasoned globally minded HR Leader who has chosen to work for big hearted companies and focus on how he and his team can unleash the talents and interests of a company’s employees. He has worked with the likes of Levi Strauss & Company and Gap Inc. partnering with business leaders to support their HR needs including innovative ways to create a learning organization and ensure integration between work and life. Mark also spent two years living and working in Paris France for Thomson/Technicolor. Mark, who is currently leading the Employee Experience of a recent acquisition, Luxury Retreats, was the pioneer of creating the Employee Experience team at Airbnb, which has created significant changes in the way organizations globally are looking at broadening the HR function. This group includes traditional HR functions in addition to broader areas focused on culture and workplace. Mark’s current areas of responsibility are Recruiting, Diversity & Belonging, Workplace (Food, Facilities, Safety & Security, and Environments), Learning and Development, as well as Ground Control, a team which is responsible for curating the culture. Mark chose to leave the practice of law after one year to focus his career on helping organizations do the right thing and to attract, develop, engage and retain creative and diverse talent to drive business results, curate the culture and create community connections. In addition, Mark has been actively involved in helping organizations enable their employees to help those less fortunate through volunteering programs and community involvement, and is currently on the Board of First Graduate, a non profit which helps those who are first in their family to attend college.

 


Edie L. Goldberg, Ph.D.
President, E.L. Goldberg & AssociateS 

Edie Goldberg, Ph.D. is the President of E.L. Goldberg & Associates in Menlo Park, California. She has specialized in talent management and organization development for over 25 years. Her practice is focused on designing HR processes and programs to attract, engage, develop and retain employees. Dr. Goldberg has published and presented at numerous conferences on performance management, building management capability, career management, and succession planning.  Dr. Goldberg is also a frequent speaker on the topic of the Future of Work.  She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Albany, SUNY; and her B.A and M.S. in Psychology from San Diego State University.  She is the immediate Past Chairperson for HR People + Strategy (HRPS), is on the Board of the California HR Strategy Forum, and is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).

 


Linda Rogers

Dolby Laboratories, Inc.

Linda Rogers brings 20 years experience working as an international HR executive driving transformation and aligning people and resources to accelerate business strategy.

Linda currently serves as SVP of Human Resources at Dolby Laboratories where she drives people and talent strategy.  Prior to Dolby she most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at eSilicon Corporation where she set the strategy for the Company’s people, places, communications, university and government engagement activities.

Previously, Linda spent more than 7 years at Sun Microsystems in senior HR leadership, business partner, strategy and program roles including working directly for the CHRO. She also served as Senior Director of Strategy for Sun’s Global Communities organization, which focused on engaging with critical influencer groups for Sun’s future, including Government, NGO, University, Student and Developer communities on education, development and technology agendas.

Prior to Sun, Linda held several HR leadership and consulting roles with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) living in the U.S. and in Europe.

She also managed her own consulting company, Work Reimagined (http://workreimagined.us/), where she worked on rethinking, innovating and inspiring organization transformations through design thinking. She also provided consulting services on all things people, culture and work, to help companies scale and accelerate for success.

Linda received her Master of Science in Human Resources and Training from the University of Leicester and holds multiple strategy and human capital qualifications from the National College of Ireland, University of Southern California (USC), Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Stanford d.School.  Linda is also a regular speaker and thought leader discussing the future of work, the future of HR and talent and engagement experiences.

 


Eva Sage-Gavin

Eva Sage-Gavin is a Board Director and Senior Advisor with broad experience in top leadership roles in Fortune 500 global Consumer, Technology and Retail corporations including Gap Inc., Sun Microsystems, PepsiCo, Disney Consumer Products and Xerox.


Sage-Gavin is a public Board Director for BroadSoft, a global unified communications software as a service provider and for TalentSky, a private professional skills networking company. She is also a former Board Director for Sapient Inc. and served on the Compensation Committee, through the successful acquisition by Publicis in 2015.

Sage-Gavin currently serves as a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and with the G100 Network and Talent Consortium. She is the former Vice Chair of the Aspen Institute’s Skills for America’s Future Advisory Board and a member of the UpSkill America Coalition, working with public and private partnerships to build skilled workforces.

Sage-Gavin is the inaugural Executive in Residence at Cornell University’s ILR School and is a lecturer at Stanford, USC and Cornell. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum and the Cornell Silicon Valley Advisory Board. She is also a member of Women Corporate Directors where she serves as Co-Chair to the San Francisco Chapter.

Prior to starting Starner 2.0 Inc., Caroline led several companies through a modernization of their Human Resources functions, including serving as Global Senior Vice President & Chief HR Officer for Oakley, Inc. from 2009 to 2015; Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer of Pacific Sunwear of Ca. Inc., from 2006 to 2009; and as Vice President of Gap brand, a division of Gap Inc. from 2003 to 2006. A native of New Jersey, Caroline has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
